KS4 Photography

Year 10 - Curriculum Information

GCSE Photography students will follow the AQA Photography: lens-based and light-based media Syllabus.

Students will complete 2 major coursework projects, which will form 60% of their final GCSE grade.

Project themes are varied and may included:

- The Alphabet

- Portraits

- Architecture

- Machinery

- Close Ups 

Year 11 - Curriculum Information

GCSE Photography students will complete and review each of their Coursework projects, which will contribute to 60% of their final GCSE grade.

Nov – Dec

Students will complete a Mock examination project.

Feb – April

Students will complete the AQA externally set exam, which will contribute to 40% of the final GCSE grade.

Key Stage 4 - How parents/carers can support their child

Parents/carers can support their child by encouraging them to attend afterschool sessions each week.

GCSE Photography students would benefit from having access to a digital camera outside of school.
