The Audenshaw Sharks extended their unbeaten run in competitive galas to fourteen months with a hard fought 92-90 victory over St Ambrose on Tuesday evening. The in form Sharks were pushed to the very end by a strong St Ambrose team in the most exciting event of the swimming year so far. Audenshaw's National Championship aces were in excellent form with victories for Kian Tevlin in the freestyle, Wunnai Tam in the breatsroke, Alex Campbell on the backstroke and Jolan Bennett in the fly and the four teamed up to claim both relay victories too. Skipper Aidan Tevlin cliamed a first and a second and Harry Rider was in stunning form swimming once again in the senior age category. Rising star, Sam Owen swam a decisive leg in the intermediate boys relay to help his team to victory and the junior boys continued to show their promise with strong showings in both relays. The Audenshaw Sharks will head to the Greater Manchester School Games on Tuesday in optimistic mood after their 12th succesive victory extending back to 2014. We wish the boys all the very best for next week.
