The Audenshaw teams enjoyed a pleasing morning of rugby in our block fixture against Rishworth School from West Yorkshire on Saturday. The U13's and U14's both continued their unbeaten starts to the year with Dylan Dorman starring for the Y8 side in a 25-25 draw and the in form Waheed Azizi was the outstanding performer for the Y9 team in a superb 37-21 success. The 1st XV were without a game with Rishworth not yet ready with a senior side but a combined U15 & U16 match took place at Hazel Street with the visitors emerging with a 24-17 win after a very closely fought encounter. Lewie Morrison, Sufyan Amjad and Jenson Peters were amongst the standout performers for Audenshaw and the red and whites were also able to welcome back Reece Dunning and Keiran Healey to the side after missing through injury in week one. Brandon Brunning enjoyed some strong surges on his kick returns and Callum Wong of year nine was nothing short of incredible in his defensive display. The U12 team had their first experience of competitive rugby for the school with over 30 boys able to get a taste of debut action. A busy week beckons for the Audenshaw sides with the visit of Lymm High School for the 1st XV in the second round of the National Vase on Wednesday (Kick Off Time 2.45pm) followed by the annual block of games against Crossley Heath School from Halifax on Saturday.
